On the occasion of National Sports day (August 29), Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Fit India Movement . The day is celebrated to honour the legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand Singh. The Fit India Movement aims to encourage people to include physical activities and sports in their daily lives for a healthy and fit lifestyle. Our students, staff, management and parents were also participated actively & enthusiastically in Fit india movement and celebrated Fitness Week.
DAY 1 & 4:
Our school organized Yoga Sessions for the students & teachers on the First day (11th November, 2019, Monday) and Forth day(15th November, 2019, Thursday) of the Fitness Week. The students were aware of the importance of Yoga. They were explained how yoga helps in maintaining not only physical and mental health but also Boosts Self-Esteem and Confidence.
DAY 2:
On the second day of Fitness Week i.e. 13th November, 2019(Tuesday) our school organised Free Hand Exercise for all. It stimulate brain growth and boost cognitive performance.
DAY 3:
On the third day of Fitness Week i.e. 14th November, 2019(Wednesday) our school organised Poster making competition for all students on the theme “Fit Boy – Fit Mind – Fit Environment”
DAY 5:
An Inter-house Fitness/Sports Quiz competition was conducted in the assembly on the fifth day of the Fitness Week..
DAY 6
To celebrate the fitness week we invited our parents to the school for their participation and fitness oath. Various activities were conducted on the last day for students along with their parents and for teachers which include yoga, dance, Q&A session (Regarding sports and fitness) and some regional games.
